On July 28, 2025, ZUS hosted its very first Career Day at its corporate headquarters, welcoming high school and college students for an immersive experience into the world of advanced materials and manufacturing. The event, co-designed by Tim Grawer, vice president of Global Finance, and Mariah Wing, HR manager and senior HR generalist, aimed to broaden students’ understanding of career paths within ZUS and offered real-world insights as they prepare to enter the workforce. The day kicked off with an inspiring keynote address from senior leadership, setting the tone for a day of learning and exploration. A panel discussion followed, where employees from various departments shared personal stories about pivotal career moments, challenges they’ve overcome, and lessons learned along the way.

Students then visited ZUS’s composites intermediates facility, where they heard from plant management and engineering teams about careers in manufacturing. A guided plant tour gave attendees a firsthand look at the pultrusion process used to create composite materials—an eye-opening experience for many who had never seen this side of the industry. One of the most resonant messages of the day was the encouragement to embrace challenges and not fear failure—a theme that struck a chord with many participants.

This inaugural Career Day marks a meaningful step in ZUS’s commitment to community engagement and workforce development. Plans are already underway to expand the event in the future, with the goal of reaching even more students and showcasing the exciting opportunities within the company.
