From production to end-use, ZOLTEK PX30 carbonized yarns are synonymous with high-performance. With a minimum carbon content of 99% and a fiber density of 1.75 g/cc, ZOLTEK PX30 yarns provide industry-leading solutions especially when reliability under extreme heat is key. Derived from the same proprietary high temperature batch carbonization process used to manufacture all of ZOLTEK’s high purity ZOLTEK PX30 products, these yarns are characterized by their many surface fibrils in protruding various directions, making them ideally suited for high performance applications including braided carbon/carbon composites.
